Music

The Journey

Musical journey probably started when I was just few days old, when I tried to repeat, with feeble voice, after each phrase my dad played on his flute. As days passed by, grew up with the harmonium, playing the top ten songs that was telecast on TV. When we settled down in Bangalore, I got had my initial learning in Carnatic classical music. I did participate in various music competitions, group as well as solo, singing as well as accompanying on Harmonium. However, there was a long break in the journey, right from high school to almost completion of degree, of about 8 years. The music in me was rediscovered when I met Antardhwani and Praveen D Rao sir. Since then, I've been part of that band and have been part of several shows all across Karnataka.

Learning

Praveen sir has been the biggest source of learning, right from singing, playing keyboard/harmonium to composing and arranging. Also, I'm currently learning hindustani vocals from Ustad Faiyaz Khan and tabla from Pandit Gurumurthy Vaidya. It's a great honour and blessings that I've got the opportunity to grow in the hands of these great gurus.
